Yangshuo Station is outside the town, so plan the final road transfer

Yangshuo is a karst landscape base in Guangxi, known for West Street, the Yulong River, cycling routes and the Li River scenery around Xingping.

Yangshuo Station is outside the town centre. The railway journey is only the first part; travellers still need a local bus or taxi to West Street or their hotel.

This guide covers direct rail options and the practical transfer hubs used by travellers from southern China, Hong Kong and Macau.

After arriving at Yangshuo Station, confirm the current town bus, shuttle or taxi pickup point. West Street and most hotels are in Yangshuo town, about 32 km away by road.

Guangzhou South and Guilin provide the easiest direct rail access. Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Nanning, Chengdu and Chongqing have direct trains but limited departures, so check 12306 before choosing a connection.

Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Zhuhai, Macau, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Huangshan can travel to Guangzhou South and change there for a Yangshuo service. Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang should first travel to Guilin, then continue from Guilin to Yangshuo.

The Li River cruise and Yangshuo Station are not the same transfer. Cruises normally start in Guilin and finish near Yangshuo, so plan the pier transfer separately from the railway journey.
