The Yichang-Xingshan high-speed link connects the Yangtze River corridor with the Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway. It completes a key missing segment of the western Hubei high-speed loop.

Is the Yichang-Xingshan high-speed railway the same as Yixing HSR?
Yes. In Chinese reporting, Yixing HSR is shorthand for the Yichang-Xingshan high-speed railway in Hubei. It is not the Yixing intercity project in Jiangsu.
