The Shenzhen Metro station sits directly below the high-speed rail concourse — follow the 高铁 / High-speed Rail signs and you reach the check-in hall in a few minutes. Lines 4, 5 and 6 all stop here.

Self-service luggage lockers are available in the metro station (since 2024) if you want to explore Shenzhen before catching your train.

Getting to Hong Kong (West Kowloon)

Direct high-speed trains reach Hong Kong West Kowloon in as little as 18 minutes, with second-class fares from about ¥75 (as of 2026). You clear Chinese exit and Hong Kong entry immigration at West Kowloon after arrival, so carry your passport with a valid Hong Kong entry endorsement.

The most popular departure times sell out, especially on weekends and holidays — book at least a day ahead through Trip.com or the 12306 app.

Getting to Shenzhen Bao'an Airport

Take Metro Line 5 toward Qianhaiwan and change to Line 11 at Qianhaiwan station — the airport (SZX) is three stops further. The whole metro trip takes about 50 minutes and is the cheapest option.

A taxi or Didi takes roughly 40–50 minutes and costs about ¥70–110 depending on traffic; the airport is around 30 km away. Allow extra time in the evening peak.
